Overview
Chris Smith is a course leader at Plymouth College of Art and Design as well as a counsellor. He has studied personal development with Martin Shaw. He is a passionate environmentalist with particular interest in the role of the Natural World in the Human Experience.
During his career as an educator, Chris has been highly active in bringing sustainability and environmental awareness into FE (and HE) curricula; it is partly these activities that led him to design and initiate the New Futures Academy.
Chris is also an active campaigner for sustainability in education and has delivered papers at numerous conferences on the subject.
This experiential workshop aims to provide counsellors with some powerful techniques which can be used both inside and outside the therapy room. The natural world can act both as a catalyst and vessel from which clients can process inner conflicts. This workshop will be beneficial to therapists who want to learn more about the effects of our natural world on our client’s wellbeing.
