Where we are
Heartwood is situated on the beautiful Dartington Hall Estate, just on the outskirts of Totnes in the glorious South Devon countryside.
We also offer our Level 4 equivalent Advanced Diploma in Counselling (weekend option) in Central London, West Yorkshire and Birmingham.
Heartwood
At Heartwood, Devon our teaching room offers panoramic views across the estate, towards Totnes in the distance. We are just 10 minutes drive from the South Devon Expressway (A38) and connected by rail from Totnes station (5 minutes by taxi, or 20 minute walk).
We have a large and light teaching room where our courses are taught. We also have 2 therapy rooms which are useful spaces for students doing skills practice.
In break times students are encouraged to take a stroll in the gardens. There is also a large lounge area where our students can relax with a hot drink.
A variety of complimentary teas, coffees and biscuits are available in our kitchenette.
The magnificent gardens of Dartington Hall are free to use by students. We often take our teaching outside to make the most of this resource.

Heartwood Birmingham
From March 2023 Heartwood will be offering the Foundation in Counselling on Saturdays and from September 2023 the Advanced Diploma in Counselling course (weekend option) within the idyllic leafy Edgbaston area at the University of Birmingham.
Situated in the southwest of the city of Birmingham in Edgbaston, just a ten-minute journey from the city centre, our newest venue sits within the extensive campus of the University of Birmingham and offers students comfortable training space, a variety of additional amenities including café, complimentary onsite parking and access to overnight accommodation if needed.
