This is why our our Foundation in Counselling is Quality Checked and our Advanced Diploma in Counselling is NCPS Accredited by one of the UK’s leading membership bodies, the NCPS (The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society).

Our Advanced Diploma in Counselling – NCPS Accred (Level 4 equivalent) course also meets with NCPS and BACP requirements for student membership and students are encouraged to apply for student membership status.

Students on our Level 4 equivalent training are able to apply for NUS/Totum membership, which gives a wide range of discounts and offers.

Experienced

Heartwood is an established centre for the training of counsellors. Heartwood has been training people to become counsellors since 2004.

The tutors have a wealth of experience behind them, and know what is required to make the course enjoyable, accessible and supportive. Many of our graduates have gone on to establish successful careers in counselling working for a wide variety of organisations, including the NHS, Young Devon, HM Prisons, Police, occupational health, private practice, Counselling 4 Carers, local schools, universities, CAMHs and more.
