Embodied Ecotherapy

Date: Saturday 26th September 2026

Embodied Ecotherapy invites us to remember that healing is never purely cognitive — it happens in the body, in relationship with each other, and with the natural world. How present are we able to be, not just with our clients, but with the earth beneath our feet? This depends significantly on our capacity to inhabit our own bodies and senses, including the often-overlooked sense of interoception. A therapist grounded in embodied awareness can facilitate a deeper, more authentic connection between client, self, and the more-than-human world. This workshop moves fluidly between theory and practice, most of it outdoors, using mindfulness in nature, Focusing and the felt sense, and dialogue with the deeper self to root cognitive understanding in lived, sensory experience. Participants will leave with a new model of the embodied psyche, eight practical exercises to bring into their client work, and their own deepened personal practice of presence.
