Important update on expected return to the classroom

The government has issued an update following its review of when all remaining higher education students can return to in-person teaching and learning.

The government confirms these students should return no earlier than May 17th, alongside Step 3 of the Roadmap.

As such, we are planning to welcome students back to the classroom from Monday, May 17th. This is pending final confirmation from the government, expected on May 10th – as the government has said there will be a week’s notice of any reopening.

We have updated our students and would encourage those on our attendance-based courses to start making any necessary plans now ahead of this expected return to face-to-face teaching.

As soon as the government has given a week’s notice, we will be in touch with our students again directly confirm. Should we be made aware of any changes to this timeframe, we will alert students as soon as possible.

Students are reminded to please keep an eye on the virtual notice board on the Heartwood Office on the HOP for any updates (you will need to log in if you haven’t already).
